An independent record of what active men actually do.
Arenos Journal began as a personal log. The premise was simple: instead of reading general advice about supplements and active routines for men, document what actually happens when one man — in a specific city, with a specific schedule — tries to build a consistent practice.
Adrian Webb has written about men's nutritional habits and active lifestyle routines for the better part of a decade. His editorial approach draws on published nutritional research — not as a source of directives, but as a framework for interpreting what the journal observes. The supplement review for men that this publication offers is grounded in that approach: observe the pattern, document what is present, identify what is absent, and approach the stack as a considered editorial exercise.
The editorial position of Arenos Journal is that supplements are an addition, not a replacement. The foundational sourcing of any nutrient is the food pattern that precedes it. The journal documents both — what comes from the plate and what comes from the stack — because the relationship between the two is where the interesting editorial material lies.
Webb is based in South Jakarta. He trains five mornings a week, primarily in resistance and compound movement patterns. His own supplement journal — kept since 2023 — is the foundation of the documentation practices this publication encourages.
Articles published here are editorial observations — they describe, contextualise, and document. They do not prescribe dosages, identify conditions, or replace the guidance of a qualified wellness professional.
Arenos Journal has no commercial relationship with any supplement brand or retailer. No products are reviewed for compensation. No affiliate links are present.
Editorial positions are informed by published nutritional research. Where findings are contested or emerging, the journal notes this explicitly rather than presenting ambiguity as settled consensus.
The editorial context is urban Southeast Asia — a specific climate, a specific food culture, a specific daily rhythm. General men's supplement advice is reinterpreted through that specific lens.
Reza contributes field observations on recovery nutrition and omega-3 sourcing. His writing documents the supplement habits of active men in urban Indonesia with reference to independent nutritional research.
"Every article published here is reviewed against the published nutritional literature before it appears. Where findings are unclear, we say so. Where a personal observation contradicts the research, we note both."
